The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is asking the city to consider implementing a new app called PulsePoint that has the potential to connect emergency trained rescuers to nearby events, potentially getting victims critical care prior to an ambulance arriving. In many events, time to receiving care is the most critical factor in increasing survivability in a patient, and using technology to save time could increasingly be the future of primary care.
